Add more "personality" to your wedding invitations by choosing a translucent (parchment perhaps) or shiny paper in a pretty pastel or an earthy tone. Use colorful ink, maybe different type faces, border designs, or even a photograph of the two of you.

You'll notice that we still have most of the wedding invitation's print information (just in case people couldn't play the CD) and yet it allowed us to show our personality. Remember the most important part of your invitation, is not that you followed all the rules exactly, but that you and your family and friends celebrate your moment of happiness at your wedding and wedding reception. That goes for all aspects of your wedding from your music to your food, your venue to your wedding list. Yes there are times that you want to go with what is expected and there are times that you're going to have to make choices, compromises. That's part of life and part of marriage. Get used to it. It starts with your wedding reception.

Just remember to have fun with this and if fun means making your own, great! If fun means having the most formal printed invitation done by your mother's printer, great! You decide!
